READING ROOM | THE ARTS | THE ART OF LIVING BY SORS.

Do we still find the time for reading?

Welcome to our ART Reading Room. A curation of some of our favorite art books. A collection ever expanding so make sure to keep an eye out for when we add new additions.

Art is like a silent discussion between the observer and the artist. It’s an object created by the artist to tell a story, a point of view, a belief, an emotion; the list goes on. Sometimes the works can be quite literal, as in the Renaissance and the Dutch Golden Age. In more modern times, these can be abstract representations meant to expand your mind through philosophical thinking.

But art goes much deeper than a static object. Like Emory Douglas' revolutionary works for the Black Panther movement, art can be a language that transcends the idea of a single object presented; it can become the visualization of an ideology, existing to educate and inspire.
